Sustainable vacations combining the sea, nature and concrete commitments

The camping La Clape Villageour 5-star campsite in Cap d’Agdehas set itself a simple mission: to prove that it’s possible to enjoy a vacation in Cap d’Agde while preserving the natural environment that surrounds us.

In our ecological camping, every action counts. Every choice, from the way we build to the way we consume, aims to reduce our impact on this precious coastline.

Welcome to a campsite where ecology is not just a slogan, but a daily reality, shared with our staff and guests alike!

Our vision of sustainable tourism

Respecting a sensitive coastal environment

Setting up business in the heart of France’s largest seaside resort requires special responsibility.

The Agatha coast welcomes thousands of visitors every summer, with all that this entails in terms of travel, consumption of resources and pressure on natural areas.

In our ecological campsite, we have chosen to act rather than suffer.

Our ambition: to offer a successful vacation while limiting the impact on a fragile territory. By rethinking our infrastructures, our daily practices and our partnerships, we demonstrate that more sustainable tourism is possible, even in very popular areas.

Sustainable design and respectful landscaping

Creating a harmonious environment designed to last and preserve the coastline

In our eco-chic campingevery choice of layout has been thought out with a view to reduce ecological footprint and promoting the region.

The work on the campsite has been entrusted to local companies, and the mobile homes come from manufacturers located in the Occitanie region, thus limiting transport.

Whenever possible, equipment is sourced second-hand or from responsible sources.

In addition, landscaping is at the heart of the project: over 1,400 trees and shrubs have been planted, and the green spaces are managed without the use of phytosanitary products.

Sound management of resources: water, energy and waste

Limiting our footprint with concrete, innovative solutions

Resource management is one of our top priorities. ecological camping.

To limit energy consumption, our accommodation is equipped with key switches, LED bulbs and solar panels for hot water production. In the campsite, we use a timer system and twilight detectors.

The pool is now heated sensibly, and consumption is monitored to adjust usage.

As for water, given the fragility of the L’Astienne water table, we have implemented a number of measures. A drip system, flow reducers and push-button installations reduce wastage, while an innovative project aims to save up to 80% of the water in the water park.

Ecological camping – FAQ

How did our campsite become an eco-friendly campsite?

Our approach began in 2021, when Cottage Parks took over two municipal campsites in Agde and launched an in-depth transformation.

We rethink everything: work entrusted to local companies, mobile homes equipped with water- and energy-saving devices, high-performance appliances, packaging-free crockery, enlarged terraces, second-hand furniture, textiles from the Hérault region, Tribu cottages and PRM accommodation. Even our coconut-fiber shade sails support a solidarity project in India.
