The vacations are coming to an end for many, but not for our faithful Brescoudos. As is the case every year, just as some motorcyclists are getting back into the swing of things, hundreds, if not thousands, of motorcyclists from France and Europe gather in our beautiful region. It’s an opportunity to meet up with other enthusiasts and (re)discover Cap d’Agde and the surrounding area by motorcycle!
What is Brescoudos Bike Week?
Brescoudos Bike Week is the event for motorcycle enthusiasts, whether Harley Davidsons, Goldwings, Indians, Trikes or Custom bikes.
The history of this spectacular event is inextricably linked with Cap d’Agde and the surrounding area. From a day of grilling with friends around the Etang de Thau, it has become a not-to-be-missed gathering and has gradually established itself as one of the region’s traditions.
Every year, the BBW attracts thousands of bikers from all over France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and Germany, for a week between late August and early September.
Agde campsites, loyal guests of Brescoudos
If the BBW is an opportunity for bikers to visit or rediscover the landscapes of the Hérault and Aude regions, between beaches, ponds, vineyards and garrigue, it’s also a chance to meet up at campsites and hotels and talk about the exceptional places they’ve crossed.
The La Clape Village campsite is once again one of their choice accommodations!
A meeting place par excellence, it welcomes all types of public, from couples and families to biker friends, who have had the good idea of privatizing it for private reunions.
Once again, a good atmosphere and good-natured spirit were the order of the day! As proof, the day of September 2 ended with a festive evening at the La Clape Village campsite, with brasucade, entertainment and a concert!
WHY DISCOVER AGDE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA ON A MOTORCYCLE?
The Hérault offers many unforgettable motorcycle rides. Hérault Moto itineraries have been designed for the comfort and safety of motorcyclists, taking them through breathtaking landscapes.
Who are the Brescoudos?
Do you know where these bikers got their name?
Brescoudos takes its name from the volcanic island of Brescou at Cap d’Agde (the only island in Languedoc), on which stands a fort built by the Viscount of Joyeuse in 1586 to protect the coast from enemy invasion.
A group of friends, originally known as the Cap d’Agde Harley Davidson Club, adopted the name Brescoudos in homage to this site, the birthplace of the movement in the early 90s.
